Find the cart parked out front on Mass Street. Stand with it, lean on it, bring the whole crew. However you want it.
There's a golf cart parked out front of RECESS Lawrence, and every few months a local artist transforms it into something new. Paint, crochet, welded metal, whatever their medium is. Take a selfie with it, tag us, and we donate to the nonprofit they're riding for.
Every tagged post you share turns into a donation from RECESS to this rotation's nonprofit.

Tag RECESS Lawrence, the artist, and the nonprofit of the moment so we can count it. All three tags are what makes it register.
Instagram, Facebook, wherever you already post. Public posts and stories both count toward the total.
We tally the tagged posts and cut a check at the end of the rotation. Then a new artist, a new medium, and a new cause take over.
Running August through October. Come see this installation in person before the next one takes its place.
A Lawrence artist who turned the cart into what you see out front today. Made by hand, one of one, and gone when the next rotation starts.
A Lawrence nonprofit working in early childhood education, child care, and family support. Every tagged selfie this rotation sends a donation their way.

Post it on Instagram, Facebook, anywhere. Every tagged post sends a donation from RECESS to the Ballard Center. Tag all three accounts so we can find it and count it.
We're booking artists and nonprofits for upcoming rotations. Any medium is welcome: paint, fiber, metal, sculpture, light, mosaic, something we haven't thought of yet. If you make things, or you run a cause worth making something for, we'd like to hear from you.
